Here at Don Williamson Nissan, we understand that truck buyers want the best, and if you’re trying to compare the 2018 model to the new 2019 Nissan Titan truck, you might be curious what exactly is different this year. Our team of Nissan enthusiasts has done the homework for you, and it’s all laid out below.
If you know you’re ready to get behind the wheel of a Titan model and are interested in scheduling a test drive, call us at 910-459-2591! You can also contact us below for more information or stop by to see our team in our showroom at 310 Western Boulevard.
The same standard 5.6-liter Endurance V8 sits under the hood of the 2018 and 2019 Titan. Expect to enjoy up to 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque on the roads, and a towing capacity of up to 9,740 on properly equipped models. When it comes to payload, both models can handle up to 1,610 pounds.
The Titan remains largely unchanged, but you will notice a new body-color grille and gloss-black accents on the SV trim. There are also two new exterior colors, Moab Sunset Metallic and Midnight Pine Metallic, for the 2019 model. The Midnight Package that drivers love is still available for the 2019 model on crew cab SV and SL trims.
This is where customers will find some noticeable changes. In 2019 models, the standard touchscreen grows to 7 inches and comes with NissanConnect for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. There is also a new Fender premium audio system that offers 485-watts of crisp sound that floats out of 12 speakers. An additional USB port can be found in 2019 models, and Rear Door Alert is now standard on king and crew cab Titans.
Which Titan Model Should I Get?
If you’re falling for one of the new exterior colors or think you might die without smartphone compatibility, then the 2019 Titan is for you. If you’re looking for a base work truck, the 2018 model should do just fine for you.
